On January 29, 2024, Benoît Thirion, partner at Hoche Avocats, took part in a round table organized by the LJA on the subject of the Directive on the duty of vigilance for compagnies.

On the program:
On June 1, 2023, the European Parliament passed the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D).
Negotiations are currently underway between the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, for a formal adoption of the text in 2024.
The aim of the directive is to introduce a Europe-wide duty of care.
Companies will have to identify, prevent and mitigate the risks associated with human rights, the environment, and occupational health and safety throughout their value chain.
