Hoche Avocats advises the management of the Exxelia group in its acquisition by HEICO Corporation
Founded in 2009 following the merger of five companies and based in Paris, Exxelia is a leading manufacturer of passive and complex components and precision subsystems for industrial niche markets (defence, space, aviation, energy, transportation, medical and telecommunications).
Acquired by IK Partners in 2015, Exxelia has implemented a transformation plan by expanding its product portfolio and geographic reach through various acquisitions.
Exxelia joins HEICO Corporation, a US-based aerospace and electronics manufacturing group listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Exxelia’s management team, led since 2016 by Paul Maisonnier, will retain a minority stake of around 5%.
With the acquisition of IK Partners’ stake in Exxelia International (“Exxelia”) by HEICO Corporation, Exxelia will be able to strengthen its operational excellence and continue its growth strategy.
The French company will be the largest acquisition made by HEICO to date. Exxelia employs around 2,100 people and has a dozen sites around the world, including six in France and two in the United States.
