Hoche Avocats advised the Carrefour group on the creation of Brut Shop, a joint company whose aim is to become the leader on the French social commerce market (live shopping).
Brut Shop is a unique and responsible website via which users will be able to make online purchases, while taking part in video events live-streamed on social networks.
By combining their respective strengths as a distributor and social media, Carrefour and Brut. thus aim to create the benchmark platform for live shopping.
Combining consumers’ habits of using social media and their desire to interact with brands, live shopping is currently one of the strongest growth drivers for e-commerce in the world and is experiencing very significant growth.
Already widely developed in China where, in 2020, 65% of consumers ordered a product via this consumption channel, the global social commerce market, estimated at around 492 billion dollars, should, according to the consulting firm Accenture, triple by by 2025 ($1.2 trillion).
